The Compass Program: A Guide for Teens

The Compass Program: A Guide for Teens

You know how it is when your teenager comes home from school and you just can’t seem to get them to communicate with you. You hear a few words, some mumbles, and then they retreat back into their own world. It can be maddening, but don’t worry! Compass could be the answer to all of your problems. This program offers teens the opportunity to learn new skills, develop relationships, and become more engaged in their communities.

What does the program offer?

Compass offers a variety of activities that help teens build character strengths, ranging from teamwork and creativity to kindness and relationships. This includes team-building activities between students, as well as physical activities and games to promote exercise and healthy behaviors.

Compass also provides mentorship opportunities for teens who need guidance or advice on difficult topics such as peer pressure or bullying. By connecting them with an adult mentor from the physical education department at SUNY Cortland, teens can better understand the challenges they face and learn how to respond positively when faced with difficult situations.

Benefits of the Program

Compass is designed to prepare teens for success in all areas of their lives. It helps them develop key skills such as communication, decision-making, and problem-solving that will serve them well throughout their lives. Finally, by connecting with mentors, teens get access to valuable advice that can help them make sound decisions throughout life’s journey.

Compass is a great resource for parents who want to help their teenagers succeed in life beyond schoolwork and grades alone. It provides teens with the opportunity to learn important life skills— all within a safe environment where mentors provide guidance along the way! If you’re looking for ways to help your teen grow into a confident young adult, consider enrolling them in this amazing program today!
