Mental Health Awareness Month Concert and Walk Set for May 21st and 26th!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This May, there are a lot of events in Cortland County to promote mental health awareness! 

On Saturday, May 21st at 3pm, The Mental Health Association of Cortland County will be hosting Seeds of Hope – a concert in support of “May is Mental Health Awareness Month” at Rose Hall – 19 Church Street, Cortland NY. This event will feature keynote speaker James McCabe and special performances by Merkley and Morgan with special guest Zac Doob Of The Unknown Woodsmen, Molly And The Ringwalds, and Jazz Happiness Band.

On Thursday, May 26th at 12pm, there will be a Mental Health Awareness Walk to raise awareness of mental health throughout Cortland County. The walk will begin at Courthouse Park, and if you register before Monday, May 9th, you will receive a free t-shirt!

Donations from the awareness walk will go to Access To Independence, a community-based non-profit living center in Cortland, NY that is dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live independent lives.
